Three Bearcats named All-State

After a successful football season in the book, post-season recognitions are now coming in. A trio of North Star football players have earned North Dakota State 9-man All-State honors.

It was an excellent season for the Bearcats who made an appearance in the state playoffs.

Alex Weston, a 6-foot-6 senior, earned first team honors for his efforts at wide receiver. The wideout hauled in 55 catches for 892 yards including a team-high 12 touchdowns. Weston was also a regular contributor on defense for North Star as he finished with 28 tackles including 26 solo stops.

Jayden Komrosky earned All-State second team honors as just a sophomore. On offense, he was one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the state.

He finished the season 128-of-196 passing for 1,982 yards including 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. The 6-foot-3 sophomore also ran for 261 yards and six touchdowns.

Defensively he finished with 21 tackles and 16 stops.

Christian Kvilvang, a 6-5 senior, was a standout on both offense and defense who earned second team All-State honors. He finished with 537 yards and nine touchdowns on 35 catches.

On defense, the senior finished with 41 stops including 33 solo tackles. He also had two sacks and a fumble recovery.
