Devils Lake Police report busy weekend

The Devils Lake Police Department (DLPD )has detained a 17-year old male from St. Michael for a carjacking that occurred Thursday, Oct. 11. The incident involved a male showing a knife to a female taxi driver. When the female exited the taxi, the male drove the vehicle away.

  • Four residential break ins have occurred throughout Devils Lake during the last week, according to the DLPD. Properties have been entered and items stolen, such as wallets. It is believed that some residents have been at home during the time of the break in. Police are asking anyone who may have information to call Crime Stoppers at 662-0739. Callers do not have to give their name and may be eligible for a reward.
  • A 17-year old Devils Lake male has been charged multiple times following an accident that occurred at 7:50 a.m. October 20 when two parked vehicles were struck on the 1700 block of 1st Street NE. The male has been charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving and driving under the influence.
