KILLDEER, N.D. (AP) — Funeral services are scheduled Tuesday for a Dickinson man who died in a 50-foot-fall from a drilling rig in the western North Dakota oil patch.

Fifty-two-year-old Terry Metcalf was pronounced dead at the scene near Killdeer on Monday. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.

Metcalf worked for Big Sky Well Service. Owner Charles Fulton tells The Dickinson Press (http://bit.ly/O6sRPM) that officials don't know how Metcalf fell.

OSHA official Eric Brooks says it is the seventh oil field death reported to the agency since its fiscal year began last October. He says not all have been work-related.
