BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota businesses in Ward, McHenry and Renville counties that have been affected by Souris River flooding are getting more time to file and pay taxes due at the end of this week.

State Tax Commissioner Cory Fong says those businesses now have until Aug. 15 to file and pay taxes due on June 30. No penalty or interest will be charged if the Aug. 15 deadline is met.

Fong says his department is continuing to monitor the flooding situation and more such extensions are possible.
