SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — A dedication ceremony was scheduled Thursday for the $363 million Crow Lake Wind Project north of White Lake.

It was built and is owned by PrairieWinds, a subsidiary of North Dakota-based Basin Electric Power Cooperative. The wind farm became operational in February.

The project has 108 wind turbines, 100 of which are owned and operated by PrairieWinds. Seven are owned by a group of community investors called South Dakota Wind Partners.

One turbine is owned by Mitchell Technical Institute and will be used in the school's wind turbine technology program.
