BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Tuesday is Flag Day, and Gov. Jack Dalrymple is calling on all North Dakotans to display the American flag.

Dalrymple also is calling for the observation of National Flag Week, which began Sunday.

The governor says the flag symbolizes freedom and opportunity for generations of Americans. He says state residents should honor those who have fought and died defending it.
