ALMONT, N.D. (AP) — Morton County officials say water on the Big Muddy Creek near Almont is rising fast after Sunday night's round of storms.

Emergency manager Tammy Lapp-Harris tells the Bismarck Tribune that motorists should not drive on roads covered with water because culverts may have been damaged.

She says bridges along the Big Muddy have been damaged and engineers are assessing the situation.

A pole barn also was hit by a twister Sunday night just off of Interstate 94 near Exit 134.
