Dakotas hospitals getting share of federal grants

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Hospitals in the Dakotas are among more than 100 institutions nationwide getting about $35 million in federal grants aimed at boosting rural health care.

St. Alexius Medical Center in North Dakota is getting $302,000, Avera Health in South Dakota a total of about $1.1 million through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

The USDA program funds projects that provide rural areas with access to health care education, training and resources.
