JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) — The nonprofit Farm Rescue organization is accepting requests for spring planting help from farmers in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and eastern Montana.
The North Dakota-based Farm Rescue provides planting and harvesting aid to farm families who have gone through a major illness, injury or disaster. It doesn't hand out money — volunteers help with the actual farm labor.
Spokeswoman Pam Musland says last year, Farm Rescue helped 30 families in the region. Since 2006, the organization has helped 131 families.
