Turtle River State Park to host annual ‘Turtle Fest’
Turtle River State Park will host its annual Turtle Fest on Saturday, June 18. This event, sponsored by the Friends of Turtle River, is a flurry of family-fun activities running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Activities include a kids fishing seminar; arts and crafts; guided mountain bike ride; kids bike rodeo; bouncy house; RV and bike display; geocaching; minnow races; and a scavenger hunt. A fundraiser meal is available at the Woodland Lodge from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition to the numerous family activities, entertainment is provided in the form of music by “Too Old to Die Young” at the Woodland Lodge during meal service; and the ever popular “More Than a Reptile Show” at 2:30 p.m.
Entrance fees for June 18 are waived as part of visitor appreciation.
