The Mayville State University volleyball program announced the signings of two Lake Region State College Royals on Thursday.

Whitney Rozdeba and Sienna Gudnason, both graduating from the LRSC volleyball team, will be continuing their athletic careers at the four-year level for the Comets.

Rozdeba and Gudnason helped the Royals go 19-17 during the 2023-24 season, then 15-21 this past year. Rozdeba, a middle blocker, amassed 377 points during her two years. She had 304 kills, including 171 this season. Gudnason, an outside hitter, had 222 kills this year to give her 357 in her career. He collected 428 points. She also had 424 digs.

Rozdeba was a double-sport athlete, also playing on the LRSC softball team both years. She originally hails from Hamiota, Manitoba.

Gudnason is from Glenboro, Manitoba.

They’ll join an MSU team that went 8-19 this past season and 1-9 in conference play. The Comets lost their last 11 matches of the season and last 18 sets. The previous year, though, they had a 15-11 overall record. They’re led by Katie Aasen, who just completed her second year as head coach.
