Lake Region State College women’s basketball player Nicole Lillard was named to the Mon-Dak All-Conference Team.

The sophomore is the Royals’ lone representative this year. Lillard was second on the team in points per game with 12.6, and second on the team in rebounds per game with 5.8. Those marks ranked 15th and 12th, respectively, among the entire conference.

Freshman Sydney Schwabe was 13th in the conference in points per game, while sophomore Kiara Holweger was fifth in the conference in rebounds per game. But neither were named all-conference.

Lillard scored 580 points over her two-year LRSC career. Last year, she appeared in 32 games while starting only four. This season, she played and started in 31. She shot 73.5% from the floor over two seasons and made 55 three-pointers.

Lillard is yet to commit to a four-year college but has received offers.

LRSC went 15-17 this season and 7-7 in conference play under first-year head coach Colden Hutton. The Royals had nine on their roster, but only seven healthy players for most of the season. They were eliminated by North Dakota State College of Science in the Region XIII semifinals. LRSC was coming off of back-to-back 20-12 seasons under Ryan Clark.

On the men’s side, Bronson Chambers and Alvin Payne were named All-Region XIII. Chambers, Payne and Ginuwine Tropnas had previously been named to the all-conference team.
