For the second time this season, Nicole Lillard has been named the Mon-Dak Player of the Week.
The conference announced its selections on Wednesday. Lillard, who received the honor in the first week of January, achieved it again in the first week of February.
Lillard helped the Lake Region State College women’s basketball team win both of its games early this week. She put up 23 points and nine rebounds in Sunday’s win over Miles Community College. On Monday, she had 20 points and four rebounds in a victory over Dawson Community College.
The two wins moved LRSC’s record to 14-11 overall and 7-2 in conference play. The Royals are tied for the best Mon-Dak record, with North Dakota State College of Science holding the edge in overall record.
Lillard leads LRSC with 13.0 points per game. She’s second in rebounds, with 6.1 per game. Lillard, a sophomore who’s in her second season with the Royals, previously received an offer from New Mexico Highlands University.
The LRSC basketball programs have collected four Player of the Week honors total this season. Lillard has been honored twice, while Kiara Holweger won it once and Ginuwine Tropnas was named for the men’s team.
The Royals have five more games in the regular season. Only one will be a home contest, with LRSC hosting Bismarck State College on Feb. 23.
