Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich 5, Hatton/Northwood 1: Mason Romfo went 3-for-4, while Theo Romfo went 2-for-3 with a double, a walk and an RBI. Pitcher Tyson Gemmill allowed one run (none earned) on three hits and one walk in seven innings, while striking out five.
Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich 16, Hatton/Northwood 0: M. Romfo pitched four scoreless innings while also recording two hits, including a double. T. Romfo went 2-for-2 with two doubles.
Fargo Davies 3, Devils Lake 0: Davies’ Drew Rerick, a projected Day 2 MLB draft pick, struck out 14 over 7 2/3 scoreless innings. Devils Lake’s Mason Palmer nearly matched him with nine strikeouts over the first seven scoreless frames, but the Eagles tagged him for three runs in the eighth.
Softball
Maple River 1, Nelson County/Midkota 32: The Chargers scored all their runs in three innings. They collected 18 walks and 10 hits. Every member of the lineup was on base at least three times.

Rugby 2, North Star 8: The Bearcats won their first playoff game. Hunter Hagler reached base four times, while Dane Hagler, Zack Jorde and Karsen Simon each reached three times. Parker Simon hit two doubles and pitched the first 5 2/3 innings on the mound. K. Simon recorded the final four outs. Up next, North Star will play Bottineau at 1 p.m. on Monday in Cando.
Valley City 8, Devils Lake 3: It was a lackluster regular-season EDC finale for the Firebirds, but they still locked up the No. 4 seed to host a playoff game against West Fargo Sheyenne on Tuesday.
Valley City 0, Devils Lake 6: The Firebirds bounced back in the nightcap. They received four scoreless innings from Ben Larson and two-RBI hits from Beau Brodina and Will Heilman.
May-Port-C-G 2, Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich 3: Sam Davis hit a walk-off double to give the Cardinals their 17th win. Jax Johnson pitched four scoreless innings, while Dawson Hein went 2-for-3 with a double and a triple.
Carrington 13, Nelson County/Midkota 1: The Chargers managed only one hit, a double by Brody Rainsberry. Ross Thompson drew an RBI walk.
Softball
Devils Lake 11, West Fargo Horace 10: The Firebirds won a thriller, led by Tylie Brodina, who went 3-for-5 with a go-ahead two-run homer and pitched 3 1/3 innings in the circle. Ava Beck had a game-tying hit in the seventh and a go-ahead hit in the eighth, and Brodina escaped a bases-loaded situation to narrowly complete the victory. Devils Lake is 5-8 (4-4) and will finish its regular season at home against West Fargo Sheyenne on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
