Grand Forks Red River 6, Devils Lake 7: The Firebirds got homers from Jackson Baeth (3) and Parker Brodina (1). Baeth also recorded the save after Devils Lake scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Junior college softball
Lake Region State College 10, Dakota County Technical College 13: The Royals’ season ended on the second day of the playoffs. Madden Wiebe and Avery Kamelchuk each recorded three hits, while Ella Neider had a home run and four RBIs.

Devils Lake 2, Fargo South 1
Devils Lake 6, Fargo South 3: The Firebirds improved to 11-1 in their last 12. Beau Brodina and Fausten Olson both recorded three hits in the nightcap, while freshman Easton Kraft reached base three times in his varsity debut. Devils Lake scored two in the seventh inning of Game 1 to squeeze out the first win.

Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich 0, Thompson 10: The Cardinals’ 7-1 record was tainted with a doubleheader sweep to the 14-0 Tommies. They were no-hit in Game 1. Cole Welsh had two hits in Game 2.
New Rockford-Sheyenne 10, Rugby 0: The Black Sox won in only three innings, collecting 10 hits in 19 at-bats. Skye Kramlich struck out five and allowed only one hit in three scoreless innings.
Velva/Drake/Anamoose 3, New Rockford-Sheyenne 2: Easton Simon threw six innings of three-run ball.
Nelson County/Midkota 0, Carrington 4
Nelson County/Midkota 8, Hatton/Northwood 6: The Chargers split a doubleheader to move to 4-3 on the season. Kyle Johnson went 2-for-4 with four RBIs in Game 2. Each team scored one run in the seventh to send it to extras, and NC/M edged ahead with three in the ninth.

Lake Region State College 1, Miles Community College 11: The Royals’ season ended in the first round of the playoffs. They led for the first seven innings of Game 1. Kaeden Siwak homered, while Hunter Brodina allowed zero earned runs in 2 1/3 innings of relief. Ronald Nelson reached base twice and had three RBIs.

New Rockford-Sheyenne 7, South Border 3: Connor Knatterud pitched a complete game with three runs (two earned) allowed and also went 2-for-4 at the plate. The Black Sox scored five in the fifth.
New Rockford-Sheyenne 5, South Border 1: The game was called in the third inning due to weather.

Harvey/Wells County 11, Nelson County/Midkota 3: Mya Luehring pitched a complete game and recorded two hits at the plate. Kelsey Johnson also had two hits.
Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich 10, Thompson 31: The teams combined for 29 hits and 16 errors in five innings. The Cardinals (3-3) got three-hit performances from Jalynn Swanson and Jada Moen. Thompson scored 12 in the third inning.
