What to watch
No. 1 North Star boys’ basketball continues its tournament run against the No. 4 seed in the District 3 tournament, Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich, at approximately 6 p.m. at Langdon Area High School. If the Bearcats win, they’ll advance to the district championship on Tuesday.
The Cardinals are 11-9 overall, 10-6 in Region 2 and 5-4 in District 3. Last time these teams met, North Star won 73-56.
The other District 3 semifinal game is Cavalier vs. Midway/Minto — the No. 2 and 3 seeds in the tournament, respectively. It’ll commence approximately 25 minutes after North Star’s game ends.
The Bearcats are the team to beat in Division B, given that they went undefeated in region and district play during the regular season. Their only loss came against a Division A school. They have high hopes for this postseason, which started with a 56-30 win over Drayton/Valley-Edinburg on Friday.
