No. 4 Devils Lake girls’ basketball will complete its regular season on Thursday at Devils Lake Sports Center.

The Firebirds face Region 2 opponent Grafton at 7:15 p.m. Devils Lake is firmly in second place in the region at 15-5 (6-2), while Grafton is in fifth at 6-14 (2-6).

Being that it’s the Firebirds’ last home game, they’ll be honoring their five seniors. There will also be a tailgate preceding the game from 4:30 to 7 p.m. sponsored by Lake Region State College.

Regardless of Thursday’s outcome, Devils Lake will be the No. 2 seed in the Region 2 tournament and will play the winner of Carrington and Hillsboro/Central Valley on Tuesday at Mayville State University.

Highlights

There were no Lake Region sports on Wednesday. The Lake Region State College basketball teams play on Thursday this week instead of their typical Wednesday contests.

Things are about to get busy, though, with the high school basketball tournament season kicking into gear.
