With No. 3 Four Winds/Minnewaukan boys’ basketball beating Hillsboro/Central Valley on Saturday, the Indians temporarily moved into first place in Division A, Region 2. They’re 12-3 overall and 5-1 against region opponents.
That could, of course, change this week when FW/M faces No. 2 Devils Lake. The Firebirds are 14-1 overall, 4-1 in Region 2, and have won their last 11 games. This is going to be a big week of high school basketball in determining the top regular-season seeds.
No. 4 Grafton is still in the mix too with its records of 11-3 and 4-2. The Spoilers have come out on the short side of close contests against both Devils Lake and FW/M.
Highlights
The Indians won that game in commanding fashion, beating the Burros 75-38 at Four Winds High School. Deng Deng led with 30 points, giving him 77 combined in his last two games. For more on Saturday’s game, read here.
