Amidst a busy Thursday of high school basketball, No. 3 Four Winds/Minnewaukan outlasted No. 4 Grafton 76-70 on the road. The Indians trailed 37-35 but managed to squeeze out the victory over the Spoilers, who have been a tough team to beat all season.
FW/M won in large part from the efforts of star Deng Deng, who put up a boys’ basketball school record of 47 points. It tied the previous mark set by Fred Longie in the 1993-94 season. Deng is a senior committed to play football as a wide receiver for the University of North Dakota.
