News from the Devils Lake Speedway
The purestock feature welcomed a first time winner to Victory Lane. Rookie Driver Austin Harris of Belcourt, ND, moved up two positions to clinch his first ever win. Joe Armstong of Crary, ND settled for second and Erik Wenstad of Overly, ND, finished third.
A stiff battle between the Legend Stoney Kruk of Langdon, ND, and Seth Klostreich of Grand Forks, ND, ensued throughout the course of the feature. Seth Klostreich claimed the Win.
Jason Schuh of Lakota, ND, lead all 20 laps and held off Jory Berg of Grand Forks, ND, to clinche his first win of the season. Jory Berg settled for second. After a stiff battle with Logan Salazar of Niche, ND, Bryan Kakela of Langdon, ND, slipped into the third position before the checkered flag.
The Western Renegade Non-Wing Sprints put on a slide job clinic in the 25 lap feature. With many position changes and what ended up being an exciting race to watch. Adam Sobolik of Grand Forks, ND, put on a huge slide job to take away the lead from Myles Tomlinson of Turtle Lake, ND. Sobolik would take win with Tomlinson finishing second and Eric Guyot of Fannystelle MB finishing in the third position.
Devils Lake Speedway will be back in action July 15th for the 7th Annual Walhalla Building Center $3k to win Golden Hammer Midwest Classic. Gates will open at 4 p.m. Hot laps start at 6 p.m. and Races start at 7 p.m. Kids 15 and under are FREE with an accompanied adult for the entire 2023.
