Lake Region State College women’s basketball begins a new era under head coach Ryan Clark. The team had its first official practice on Oct. 1st, after the first practice, Coach Clark was full of excitement and optimism. The Royals who finished the 2021-22 conference season with a record of 5-16, will be looking to rebound with fresh new faces along with returning post player Iara Navarro and all-conference guard Tiziana Huici.
The Royals will bring in 10 new players for the 2022-23 season, “as a junior college, you are always going to have a lot of turnover, which has its positives and negatives. For me, I am excited with the group we have and can’t wait to hit the ground running come November 1st ,” says Clark.
The Royals begin their season on November 1st against the University of Jamestown JV, before heading to New Town for the Buster Gillis MonDak Pre-Conference Tournament, November 4th through the 6th.
think we will be an enjoyable team to watch. We are going to do our best to play fast and put constant pressure on the opposition team. Obviously, it’s only been small steps so far, but I am very excited with the direction this program is heading,” says Clark.
