Devils Lake football has won four in a row.

The Firebirds beat Jamestown 26-18 in their region opener on Friday. Egan Laite was the early star before a first-half injury; Easton Encinas took over and ran for three touchdowns in the victory.

Devils Lake did not allow a touchdown in the first three quarters.

After three straight road games, the Firebirds will be home this Friday to take on Bismarck St. Mary’s.

Meanwhile, New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock improved to 6-0, winning its 31st straight game as a program. Devils Lake also hosted a volleyball tournament on Saturday, and the Devils Lake girls’ golf season came to an end.
