Wylee Delorme has revealed his next destination.
The former Devils Lake basketball star will be transferring to the University of Jamestown for his junior year.
Delorme, currently in his sophomore year at the University of North Dakota, originally announced his intent to enter the transfer portal on April 1. He expressed his gratitude for the UND program, saying that he “made memories of a lifetime” during his year with the Fighting Hawks.
Delorme averaged 1.9 points and 8.1 minutes of playing time in 20 games for UND.
On Monday, he announced on social media that he was committed to Jamestown. He posted a picture wearing a Jimmies jersey, and another posing with Jamestown coach Casey Bruggeman, along with the caption “Let’s run it #GoJimmies.”
Delorme returns to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, where he started his college career with the University of Mary as a freshman. Mary was at the bottom of the conference this past season with a 3-19 conference record; Jamestown was second at 12-10.
The Jimmies went 14-14 overall in their first year competing in the NSIC. They haven’t had a losing season since 2012-13.
Delorme’s first season with Jamestown will be Bruggeman’s third at the helm for the Jimmies.
Delorme is set to compete against his old friend and former Devils Lake teammate Parker Brodina, who plays for Mary.
During the 2024-25 season, Delorme averaged 6.3 points over 21 games for the Marauders. He had a 32-point performance off the bench.
The former Firebird, who was the 2024 state tournament MVP in Devils Lake’s first state championship since 1925, will now have his second run at the Division II level.
