The 2026 Shrine Bowl rosters are here.
The annual event honors the best senior football players in the state of North Dakota across all levels.
This year’s games are scheduled for June 20 at Jerome Berg Field in Mayville. There will be a nine-man game at 3 p.m. and an 11-man game at 6 p.m. The East will play the West in each game.
The selected players and coaches were announced Thursday evening.
Two local coaches will be taking part. Todd Lambrecht, head coach of the first Devils Lake state champion football team ever, is one of four coaches for the 11-man West team. Mark Bishop, one of Four Winds’ two co-head coaches, is among the four coaches for the nine-man East.
Devils Lake is represented by wingback/inside linebacker Kade Fee on the 11-man West roster. Fee was a valuable part of both the offense and defense during Devils Lake’s historic run.
The 11-man East roster features three players from Langdon Area/Munich, which won a state championship in Division A last fall. Quarterback Jax Johnson, who was also the Senior Athlete of the Year, will be joined by running back Sam Davis and tight end/defensive end Theo Romfo.
The nine-man East will include four players from two-time defending state champion New Rockford-Sheyenne/Maddock. Quarterback Easton Simon, receiver Easton Benz, running back Jackson Schumacher and defensive end Alex Weisenburger are all on the team.
Four Winds senior lineman Francis Bellile, who’s committed to continue his football career at North Dakota State College of Science, will play under Bishop for the nine-man East.
Nelson County quarterback Brody Rainsberry and North Star quarterback Hunter Hagler were also selected. Hagler missed most of the season after suffering a broken leg, but he’ll get one last chance to suit up the pads this summer.
