Wylee Delorme is back in the transfer portal.
The former Devils Lake basketball star and current University of North Dakota sophomore announced his intention to enter the transfer portal in an X post on Tuesday.
“Thank you to Coach [Paul] Sather and the coaching staff for the opportunity,” Delorme wrote in the post. “I would like to say thank you to the UND fan base, this year was truly special. I’ve made memories of a lifetime in the span of one season. I appreciate every teammate that helped me become a better player. I will forever be grateful for this year in Grand Forks.
“With that being said I will be entering my name in the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining to further my academic and athletic career.”
UND was the second stop in Delorme’s collegiate career.
Delorme originally committed to Division-II University of Mary out of high school. He played 21 games for the Marauders during the 2024-25 season. He didn’t receive any starts, but he broke the school’s single-season scoring record for a freshman with a 32-point performance off the bench. His playing time increased towards the end of the season, which led to him transferring to Division-I UND.
Delorme played 20 games for the Fighting Hawks. After debuting on Dec. 18, 2025, he averaged double-digit minutes through Jan. 8, 2026. His best game was a 12-point performance against South Dakota State on Jan. 3.
His playing time was limited, though, as the season wore on. Over the final 14 games he appeared in, he scored 12 points over 87 minutes.
Overall, Delorme averaged 1.9 points in 8.1 minutes per game for UND. He shot 14-for-33 (42.4%), including 5-for-17 from three (29.4%). He added 1.1 rebounds per game and went 5-for-11 from the free throw line.
Delorme had a banner career for Devils Lake, which culminated in the Firebirds’ first state championship in boys’ basketball since 1925. He was the 2024 Division A state tournament MVP and a finalist for Mr. Basketball. He averaged 17.9 points per game that year.
UND made it to the Summit League Tournament championship this season, where it lost to North Dakota State.
Delorme is one of several Fighting Hawks to enter the transfer portal since the season ended, including leading scorer Greyson Uelmen.
Delorme has two years of college eligibility remaining.
