Richard D. Anderson Jr., 77 of rural Churchs Ferry ND passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 of natural causes. 

Funeral Service was held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on April 18, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. Reverend Robert Buechler officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan ND. 

Richard Anderson was born on September 2, 1944 in Devils Lake ND to Richard Anderson Sr. and Avis (Benson) Anderson. Richard's mother died in 1946. He was raised by his father, Richard Anderson Sr. and his step-mother, Marjorie Anderson. Richard grew up on the family farm in Churchs Ferry and DeGroat Township. He served in the Navy from 1963 until he was honorably discharged in 1966. Richard was employed in the farming community until his retirement. 

Honorary Bearers will be the Anderson, Benson and Miller Families.
