Anna June Jensen was born June 27, 1941 at Mercy Hospital in Devils Lake to Willie and Olivea (Doyle) Jensen of Wood Lake. She attended first grade in Tokio, ND then the country school opened closer to home where she attended through the eighth grade. Anna attended St. Mary’s Academy in Devils Lake for her sophomore and junior years of high school. She also attended the Benson County Agricultural Training School in Maddock for her freshman and senior years. While boarding at the girls dormitory, Anna was introduced to Delbert Bingham, through the help of his sisters Catherine and Patsy at St. William’s Catholic Church.

Anna and Delbert were married on June 27, 1960 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tokio, ND. They made their home on the Bingham family farm near Brinsmade. Anna and Delbert raised animals, crops, and children and ran a dairy operation for several years. Anna had several jobs outside of the farm. She worked at a bank in Minneapolis, Leonardo’s Noodle Plant in Cando, Rose’s Dinner in Rugby, Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake as a CNA dietary aid and in the daycare center, as well as teaching CCD.
