Clinton W. “Clint” Campbell of Devils Lake formerly of Hannah, ND, passed away on Monday, Sep. 29, 2025, at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital with loving family at his side. He was 80 years of age.

Visitation was held on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND, with a Rosary and Scripture Service. Mass of Christian Burial was on Monday, Oct. 6 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake.

Clinton Wayne Campbell was born on Jan. 27, 1945, in Hannah, ND, son of Donald and Roseanna (Gendreau) Campbell. He grew up in Hannah and graduated from Hannah High School. He continued his education, earning a Degree in Education. He taught sixth grade in Devils Lake and Fort Totten for a brief time.

He then began a career with the United States Department of the Interior and worked for US Customs in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He met his precious Touria Sbaa at a Las Cruces restaurant where she was a waitress. They were united in marriage on Sep. 4, 1992. In 1997, they moved to Devils Lake and have called it home through the years. Clint worked as a Border Patrol Agent at Pembina Station and in Florida. After retiring, he was the owner and operator of a hunting and fishing guide service in the Lake Region.

Clint had many talents including artistic drawing and many carpentry skills he used throughout his life. Clint and Touria were able to enjoy several trips to Morocco to visit her family.

Grief may cast its shadow over us now, heavy, and unrelenting, but beyond the horizon, a sunrise waits—soft with promise, warm with hope, and certain to rise.

Those left to grieve Clint’s passing include his wife Touria; sons Don, Lance, Roy and Seth Campbell all of Florida and their children; twin daughters Nadine Gowan, Grand Forks, ND and Nadia (Justin) Demeuleneire of Baldur, Manitoba, Canada and their children Grey Gowan, Amelia Demeuleneire and one soon to be born; sisters Valerie Spickler, Minneapolis, MN and Donna Hartman of New York; several nieces, nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Kadija and Hamou Sbaa.
