Taya E. Brown, 51 of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at her home.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, July 18, 2025 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m. also at the funeral home.
Born September 22, 1973 in South St. Paul, MN, the daughter of David and Sarah (Wyatt) Brown and died July 9, 2025 , after almost a year long battle with cancer.
From 1973 to 1979 they lived in the St. Paul, MN, area, until the family moved to Devils Lake and she grew up here. She attended Prairie View Elementary, Devils Lake Central, graduating in 1992 and college @ Lake Region Junior College.
She led a simple life but enjoyed time with friends, going to concerts , shopping especially for teddy bears or anything miniature, just hanging out and spending time with family, She loved to go to family gatherings to visit and reminisce. She had a special connection with her paternal grandmother sharing a September birth month.
She had gotten to know people in the community with her work career at Leevers, Wallys and Holiday/Circle K.
Taya was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Brown, paternal grandparents Everett and Betty Brown, maternal grandparents Ernest C. and Betty Wyatt, and brother-in-law Kevin Beaver.
She is survived by her loving family. Her father, David Brown; her two sisters Grace Brown and Alycia Hoffart; a brother-in-law Sam Hoffart, nieces Alexandria Woeste, Heather Brown, Sadie Hoffart, and nephews Everett, Clayton and Joel Brown.
