Michael F. Corrigan, III, of Devils Lake, ND passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital at the age of 74 years.
Funeral Services for Michael were held at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake with Reverend Bernard Pfau officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
Michael F. Corrigan III was born on March 6, 1951, in Fergus Falls, MN. His parents were Michael F. Corrigan II and Ernestine K. (Foster) Corrigan. The family moved to North Dakota in 1953.
Mike attended grade school at St. Joseph’s in Devils Lake, ND. He graduated from Devils Lake Central High School in 1969, then attended Lake Region Junior College, earning an Associates Degree. While in high school and at LR Junior College he enjoyed being in Theater Arts programs. He spent many summers performing with the Fort Totten Little Theater where he made many friends. As pastimes, Mike enjoyed reading and fishing.
Mike was united in marriage to Petranella Kring in December 1971.
Mike worked various jobs over the years including working as an electrician in Devils Lake and at a manufacturing plant in Chicago, Illinois.
His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of all their accomplishments.
Mike is survived by his wife Petranellea; daughters Monica Geller (Dana), Helena, MT and Nicole (Francisco) Hernanadez, Mounds View, MN; grandchildren Morgan, Madison, Micah, and Mace Hagman, Adriana and Christian Hernandez; great grandchildren Remington and Barrett; sisters Sheryl Anderson, Mary Jane Zemek, Terri (Jeff) Alexander all of Devils Lake, Kathy (Leo) Paul and Debbie Noyes both of Las Vegas, NV, Patty Johnson, Buckeye, AZ; brother Dan (Chiqui) Corrigan, Camarilla, CA; brothers-in-law Ferdinand Kring and Russ Maki; sister-in-law Claudette Hogenson; and many surviving nieces and nephews.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Michael and Ernestine, in-laws Loretta and Herman Kring, son James, sister Connie Maki, brothers-in-law Tim Johnson and Donald Anderson.
