Regina M. (Koble) Hoffart, 85 of Devils Lake, ND, passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Sanford Hospital in Fargo with her loving family by her side.

Mass of Christian burial was Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Devils Lake, ND. Burial followed in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation and scripture service were held at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, ND.

Regina was born on Aug. 5, 1939, in Rugby, ND, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth (Haman) Koble. She grew up on the farm in Rugby with her seven siblings and attended Little Flower Catholic School. She graduated from Rugby High School with the class of 1957.

Regina started her career as a legal secretary in the early 1960s. She worked at Duffy and Haugland Law Firm which later became Haugland and Halbach Law Firm, where she worked her entire career. Regina enjoyed her job and the people she worked with over the nearly five decades of her career.

Regina was united in marriage to Donald Hoffart on Nov. 21, 1960, at the Little Flower Catholic Church in Rugby. They established their home in Devils Lake where they lived, worked, and raised their family through the years. They were married 60 years before Don’s passing in 2021.

Regina was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church serving on Infant of Prague Circle and volunteering when needed. Regina loved her family deeply. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the lights of her life. She was always at birthday parties, activities, and everything in between. Through many years of Don and Regina’s life, they enjoyed getting together with friends for a good game of pinochle and teaching their grandkids to play cards. She loved to socialize with her family and friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Regina was a woman who served God, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

Regina’s loving family include her children; Mike (Monica) Hoffart, Manlius, NY, Sharyl Peterson, Devils Lake, Donovan (DeAnne) Hoffart, also of Devils Lake; grandchildren Curt (Mallory) Hoffart, Chad (Kate) Hoffart, Cheslyn (Trevor) Stromme, Brett (Erika) Peterson, Taylor (Shelby) Hoffart, Trisha (Alex) Olson; great-grandchildren Brekken, Carson, and Ealyn Stromme, Nora and Ruby Olson; brothers David (Elaine) Koble, Mike (Jenny) Koble, sister-in-law MaryAnn Koble and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, brothers Walter (Alice), Christ (Betty), Adam (Arlene), and Tony Koble, sister Eva (Fred) Selensky and other beloved family.

Casket Bearers will be grandchildren Curt, Chad, Cheslyn, Brett, Taylor, Trisha, and Trevor and Alex. Gift Bearers will be granddaughters Cheslyn and Trisha and great grandchildren Brekken, Carson, Ealyn, Nora, and Ruby.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Joseph Catholic School in Devils Lake, ND in memory of Regina.
