Mass of Christian Burial was on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the Devils Lake Cemetery. Fellowship followed at the Parish Center.
Kimberly, daughter of Leland Romdalvik and Judy Carlson, was born on Dec. 14, 1967, in Devils Lake, N.D. She attended St. Joseph Elementary School, Central Middle School, and graduated from Devils Lake High School with the class of 1986. After graduating from high school, Kimberly attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D.
As a single Mom, Kimberly devoted her life to her precious children, Ashley Aireal, Nicole Ann, Brooke Ann, and Dylan Michael. Kimberly loved her children and children in general. Thus, she worked at several area daycares and later as a cook at Mercy Hospital.
Kimberly was united in marriage to Michael Daniels on July 11, 2009, in Devils Lake. She began working for the Devils Lake Public School District as a cook at Devils Lake High School, but at the time of her passing, she was the head cook at the middle school for many years.
Kimberly first and foremost was dedicated to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. They were her world, her most treasured blessings. Grandchildren always put a smile on her face and a sparkle in her eyes.
When not working, Kimberly was an avid gardener, enjoyed tending flower beds, shopping, and was very fashion conscious. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, and you frequently heard her singing along. Even though her career involved cooking for 100’s, she never missed the chance to feed family and friends. She had a real talent as a baker, and she mastered everyone’s favorite sweets. Her favorite time of year was spring, she loved spring; a new beginning, a fresh start, tulips, flowers, birds chirping, butterflies, and gardens. This described our Kim, bright eyes, smiling face, happiness.
Kimberly is survived by her husband Mike; children Ashley (Ryan) Bokn and Nicole (Brian) Peters all of Devils Lake, Brooke (Shawn) Stack, Cavalier, N.D. and Dylan Veer, also Devils Lake; grandchildren Liam: Kynsi, Saelyr, Boston, Parker: Paxton, Bennett, Jasmine: her mother Judy Carlson, Devils Lake; sisters Tracy (Irik) Borrowman, Aurora, Colo. and Missy (Dominic) Ebertz, Devils Lake; nephews and niece Nolan and Ethan Borrowman, Shayla and Dominic Ebertz Jr.; step-dad Gary Vick; in-laws Carol Deplazes, Edward (Bev) Daniels, Donald (Colleen) Daniels, Patrick (Dawn) Daniels and Amy (Terry) Turner and dear cousins.
