Susan Kay Comer, 56 of McIntosh, MN, formerly of Devils Lake, ND, passed away at her home on Monday, Dec. 30, 2024.
An Open House Celebration of Life for Susan will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Odd Fellows, Crofton Lodge #3, 414 at 3rd Avenue NE, Devils Lake. Please join us as we honor and share memories of Susan.
Susan Kay, daughter of Andrew J. and Geraldine C. (Mason) Lang was born on March 28, 1968, at Cando, ND. At a young age she moved with her family to Warwick, then eventually to Devils Lake where she attended Devils Lake High School.
Susan married Charles Nygaard on May 28, 1988 and they were the proud parents of two daughters, Amanda and Ashly. She later met and married Kevin Comer on March 12, 2001, in Devils Lake where they lived and worked. For the past 20 years, they have called McIntosh home.
Susan worked as a dedicated CNA at area nursing homes until increasing health problems forced her to retire. The most treasured times in her life were spent with her children and grandchildren. They were so precious to her.
Susan’s loving family include her husband Kevin; daughters and their spouses Amanda and Justin Sandberg and Ashly and Scott Jenkins; fourteen grandchildren Jamison, Avajo, Addison and Josie: McKenzie, Matthew, Xavier, Liberty, Mason, Roanan, Sammy, Skye, Koltyn and Faith; siblings David (Marilyn) Lang, Linda (Dale) Risinger, Carla (David) Moe, Barbara Lang and Nancy Hagen; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Roxetta “Roxy” Holtz.
