Pat Lamb, age 94, of Michigan, ND, died Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Good Samaritan Society in Lakota, ND.

Mary Patricia Sloan was born to Ed and Carrie Sloan in Lakota on February 14, 1930, with locks of red hair. She was raised in Lakota, where she worked at Sloan’s Cafe with her family. She graduated from Lakota in 1948. After graduation she attended College of Saint Benedict. After college she worked in many places like San Francisco, Chicago, and Helena, MT, where she made many lifelong friends and had many adventures.

On December 28, 1954, Pat married Bob Lamb at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lakota. Bob and their families were very important to Pat. They were a great example of enduring love and marriage for their children. Pat loved expressing her love for family and community by service to others through cooking and baking and hosting wonderful meals for family and friends. She also volunteered at the nursing home washing and curling hair for all the residents and spent over fifty years directing the church choir. She loved her church, and her faith was so important to her. Pat had a beautiful singing voice like no other and sang for too many weddings and funerals to count.

Pat loved sports and watching her kids and grandkids compete. If Pat was at the game you didn’t have to see her but you could hear her. She took all of her seventeen grandkids camping as soon as they were old enough to crawl. She also has 23 great grandkids with 3 on the way.

Pat is survived by 6 children, Joe E. (Vicki) Lamb of Maricopa, AZ, Carrie (Buck) Kasowski of Grand Forks, ND, Tom (Mary) Lamb of Carbondale, CO, Tony (Lynn) Lamb of Michigan, ND, Maureen (Don) Bertsch of Starkweather, ND, and Don Lamb of Rapid City, SD.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; parents, Ed and Carrie Sloan; 5 brothers, Edward, Thomas, Don, John “Jack” and Richard “Dick”; 2 sisters, Caroline and Marlene “Molly”.

The Funeral Mass was held at St. Lawrence O’Toole Catholic Church, Michigan, ND, on Sunday, September 29. Interment will be in the Michigan Cemetery.
