Samuel R. Barta, 47, passed away Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, from cancer.
He was born Feb. 26, 1976, the son of Richard F. and Helen E. (Dick) Barta. Sam is survived by his wife, Catherine; son, Richard; sister, Jo; mother, Helen; and numerous other family members.
Sam loved his family deeply. On June 10, 1995, Sam married his high school sweetheart, Catherine G. Yost. It was easy to see and feel the love they had for each other that never lessened, only grew. One of his greatest and proudest days was the day his child was born.
Sam strived to honor and serve God, Country, and family. During good times, hard times, and devastating times he kept true to his belief.
