Wayne McCormick, Grand Forks, passed away Oct. 22, 2023, at his sister’s home in Huntington Beach, CA after a brief illness. Wayne was born in Maddock, ND, to Ray & Mable McCormick. Wayne was born with cerebral palsy with a deformity of left ankle. He attended Maddock Elementary School. He also attended Camp Grassick, in Lake Isabel for speech and physical therapy.
Wayne was accepted to Grand Forks Vocational Rehabilitation Center in April 1969 for a training program at UND. Wayne retired in 2013 after 44 years in the food services at UND.
He loved riding his E-bike and flying to CA to visit his sister Linda & family. Wayne was a member of the Grand Forks Senior Center and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by his sister, Linda (McCormick) Trower of Huntington Beach, CA.
Wayne will be buried at Antelope Valley Cemetery, Oberon, ND
