Ashley Lynne Johnson, 39 of Devils Lake, ND, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, at CHI, St. Alexius Health, Devils Lake Hospital.

Ashley began her life in Devils Lake, ND, on Feb. 7, 1984, born to Richard and Jacqueline (Zarr) Johnson and would call Devils Lake home her entire short life.

Ashley attended elementary school at Prairie View, Sweetwater, and Minnie H. She was a student at Central Middle School and graduated with the class of 2005 from Devils Lake High school.

Ashley was the youngest and only girl in the Johnson family, and never missed a chance to watch her older brothers’ sporting events and activities. She had a gift of memory that helped to relive so many family events and to tell of the antics of her brothers in those later years, many of which the parents were never aware of until Ashley brought them to life in family stories. She loved current events and watching sports on tv, especially the Minnesota Twins and “TC” the Twins mascot.

Ashley enjoyed playing cards, watching TV and caring for her beloved pet, Sassy, her cat. She was given a stuffed dog named Skipper as a very young child and he has remained a treasured companion throughout her life.

Our precious Ashley; sweet daughter, loving sister and aunt, dear granddaughter, niece and cousin and child of God. We will miss you ever so much and will keep your memory forever in our hearts.
