A joint Celebration of Life service for Robert G. and Kathleen P. Denison is planned for Saturday, August 26 at 11 a.m., at Cando Lutheran Church (304 4th Ave) with Pastor Bonnie Weaver presiding.
Private interment will be held at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery earlier that morning, and Bob and Kathie’s family will be at Cando Lutheran to greet friends starting at 10:15 a.m. Following the service, friends are welcome to the Cando Arts Center, in the lower level of the Audi Theater at 4th Ave and Main St, for an open house lunch and fellowship.
The Denisons were longtime Cando residents, editors and publishers of the Towner County Record-Herald from 1979 to 2007. Following retirement they moved first to Buffalo, MN, then Golden Valley, MN. Bob passed away on Dec. 29, 2022, from complications due to Parkinson’s Disease. Kathie passed away on July 7, 2023, from complications due to Alzheimer’s Disease. Memorials are preferred to the Cando Arts Center (PO Box 368, 58324), the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research (www.michaeljfox.org). Cards and greetings can be sent to the family via the Dunnigan-Dix Funeral Home (PO Box 888) in Cando.
