Harold Dee Price, 71, of Columbia, passed away at the Boone Hospital on Sunday, April 8, 2018.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21 at Unity of Columbia 1600 W. Broadway, Columbia.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1946 in Anthony, Kan. to the late William and Irene Price.

Harold was a 1966 graduate of Perry High School in Perry, Okla.. He went on to further his education by receiving a bachelor's degree from Phillips University in Enid, Okla. which was followed by a masters degree in social work from the University of Missouri.

On Oct. 4, 1969 he was united in marriage to Doris Brorsen and together they shared 48 years of marriage together.

During his career, Harold worked at several different mental health centers as a psychiatric social worker. Some of the places that he worked at were the Mid-Missouri Mental Health Center, the Grand Lake Mental Health Center in Miami, Okla., the Family Life Center in Riverton, Kan. and the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma Health Center in Grove, Okla.

Harold was an avid reader and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and wildlife. He also thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends who will all miss him dearly.

Harold is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Cate Adams and husband, Brian of Wichita, Kan.; grandson, Elijah Adams; brother, Jay Price (Sarah) of Dallas; sister, Phyllis Postelwait (Richard) of Perry, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Karen Bryant (Norman) of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Kathy Cooper of Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews.
