Patricia “Pat” Schuh, 87, Lakota, ND, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2026, at Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND.
Pat was born Oct. 29, 1939, in Lakota, ND, to James P and Eva Simons Fahey. She graduated from Lakota High School and following high school, she attended college in Valley City, earning a degree in education.
On June 7, 1965, she married Ted Schuh, and together they raised three children on the family farm. Ted died on March 19, 1998, and Pat continued to live on the farm until 2022, when she moved into Lakota.
Throughout her teaching career, Pat taught in New Town, ND, Babbitt, MN, Lakota, Michigan and Warwick. If there was a test scheduled in her class, and a student brought in a chocolate pie for her, you were guaranteed an open book test.
After her retirement, she enjoyed going to town for morning coffee, playing bingo, and traveling.
She is survived by her daughter Susan (Tom) Anderson; sons Steven (Lori) Schuh, and Kenneth (Mary Kay) Schuh, 12 grandchildren: Christopher (Cassie) Anderson, Cody Anderson, Carrie (Kelsey) Eidsness, Colton (Allyson) Anderson, Carter Anderson, Josh (Brandie) Ulland, Jesse (Bri) Schuh, Jamie Schuh, Logan (Brina) Schuh, Cory (Katie) Schuh, Rita Schuh, Jason Schuh: numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ted Schuh, her parents, James and Eva Fahey, brother Gerald Fahey, and sisters, Maxine Anseth, Dorothy Hanson, Rita Schuh and Ramona Rainsberry.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lakota, ND, with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lakota, ND.
Burial will be at the Lakota Cemetery, Lakota, ND.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, new heating system.
