Lester Earl Brininger 82 of Kalispell, MT formerly of Devils Lake and Wood Lake, passed away on Jan. 29, 2023, at his home with family at his side. Lester suffered may years with Parkinsons.

Lester was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Devils Lake to Earl and Florence (Doyle) Brininger. He grew up in Wood Lake Township. Going to school in Wood Lake and St. Mary’s of Devils Lake. On Sept. 21 of 1961 he married Janice Jennum of Perth, ND, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Janice died Aug. 19, 2022.

Lester worked for McHugh’s Garage before moving to Kallispell. There he worked for a plywood company for many years before retiring. He was an advid hunter.

Lester is survived by one son Robert (Mary Jo); and 4 daughters, Beverly Anderson, Deneen (David) Slack, Susan Brininger, and Betty (David) Middleton; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; and sister Darlene Zettler of Devils Lake, and many nieces and nephews.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, parents, grandparents and brother Wayne Brininger.

A private family service was held Feb. 6 at Glacier Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Lester was laid to rest beside Janice his wife of 60 years.
