Kova Julynn Mae Gillstrap passed away on Aug. 8, 2026, at Altru Hospital, Devils Lake at the age of 7 years.
Funeral Services for Kova will be held Aug. 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at River of Life, Assembly of God Church, There will be a time of fellowship in the church dining hall following the funeral service. Kova’s brothers Elijah, Jaxzyn, Cartyr and Ryker are asking everyone to wear pink or purple in her honor. Family asks that no floral arrangements or plants be given as a memorial, instead, please give a girl’s backpack or girl’s tennis shoes in memory of Kova.
