Edith Louise Nash, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded with family love on June 6, 2026, in Puyallup, WA.
Edith was born to parents, William and Edna Connelly, on Feb. 9, 1947. She grew up in the rural town of Lawton, ND. Edie, as she was known to friends and family, had a gift of writing and was on the high school newspaper and yearbook staff. She graduated from Edmore High School as a Salutatorian of her class.
In 1967 she moved to Washington State with husband Nick and infant daughter, Michelle. In the early seventies, Steven and Randal were born and she and Nick moved their family of five to Pierce County, WA.
Her career as a Systems Analyst was spent at Boeing Commercial Airplane where she retired after 30 dedicated years. Edith enjoyed spending much of her retirement years avidly reading hundreds of books, sharing her love of baking with her family, and researching her family’s genealogy and stories of North Dakota. Her other interests included crafts, digital scrapbooking, and a love of listening to many genres of music for which she raised her three children to appreciate.
Edith’s warmth, generosity, and love for her family will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents and brother Howard. She is survived by her husband Nick; daughter Michelle (John), sons Steven (Cindy) and Randy, sister Kathleen, and grandchildren, Ashlynn (Dylan) and Tyler.
