June Schall

June Schall, age 70, resident of Reynolds, ND, and formerly of Devils Lake, ND, died on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

June Marie Trangsrud was born June 30, 1955, in Fargo, ND. She and her brother, Todd, were adopted by their loving parents, Hans A. and Marjorie (McKay) Trangsrud. June’s life was one characterized by boundless love, unwavering dedication, and an adventurous spirit that touched all who had the fortune of knowing her.

A proud graduate of the Class of 1973 from Devils Lake, ND, she carried the values she learned there throughout her life, always placing family and service at the forefront. On May 26, 1977, she was united in marriage to Paul J. Schall. Resulting in a partnership full of mutual respect, affection, and shared dreams. Together, they built a family rooted in love, strength, and togetherness. June’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched and the enduring love she nurtured. June’s happiest moments were spent surrounded by those she loved most—her beloved family. She relished spending time with her three treasured children, Jesse, Justin, and Jody, with whom she created a gallery of precious memories.

June was a compassionate soul who devoted her entire career to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her gentle hands and kind heart brought comfort and hope to many during her time working at Good Samaritan and Mercy (Altru) Hospital. Those who met June would recall her as caring, loving, and welcoming, a beacon of kindness in every situation.

June’s spirit of adventure was equally vibrant outside her professional life. She and her family explored the majestic beauty of Alaska and western Canada, ventured to the breathtaking peaks of Colorado, and treasured the simple joys of visiting Medora, ND. Each trip was a tapestry of laughter, love, and countless memories, moments she held close to her heart forever.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Schall; children: Jesse Schall of Baudette, MN, Justin Schall of Reynolds, ND and Jody Schall of Reynolds, ND; one sibling Todd Trangsrud. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hans and Marjorie Trangsrud.

Friends and family will gather to honor and remember June’s life at Amundson Funeral Home in Grand Forks, ND. Visitation will be held on May 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m.
