Delfin Argano Rada, age 79, of Henderson, Nevada passed away at his home on Feb. 13, 2023.

Delfin “Del” was born Dec. 24, 1943, in the Philippines to Pablo and Magdalena (Argano) Rada. He graduated as a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. He met the love of his life, Bella Ramos Escudero, while he was in high school and they were married in 1967. They had their first child, Carlo, then moved to New York to start their new life abroad. While in New York they also had their two daughters, Beverly and Donna. Shortly after the birth of their third child they moved to Devils Lake, ND, to raise their children and spend over 20 years serving the community.

Del enjoyed boating and fishing with family, and golfing and bowling with friends. Del was an avid reader, with a life-long thirst for knowledge. He also enjoyed time on his computer in his later years. He loved watching old movies and listening to a wide variety of music. He was a well-respected doctor of internal medicine in Devils Lake and the surrounding communities for several years. He loved his coworkers and serving his many patients. He served as Chief of Staff at Mercy Hospital until he retired prematurely in 1997 after suffering a debilitating stroke. Shortly after his stroke they moved to Henderson, Nevada where he enjoyed several more years with his wife, Bella, before being laid to rest. Del also served in the U.S. Army Reserves, serving abroad in Operation Desert Storm, and retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Del was preceded in death by his mother (Magdalena), father (Pablo), and brother (Lito) Rada. He is survived by his sister Emma Cruz; wife Bella; son Carlo (Lea); daughters Donna (Wayne) Rance, and Beverly (Christ) Paulis; his 5 grandchildren Breonna, Colby, and Braxton Rance, and Colton and Courtney Rada; and his many beloved relatives in the Philippines.

The memorial service was held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Henderson, NV on Feb. 23, 2023. Military burial was at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, NV on Feb. 24, 2023. The service was live streamed at 10:00 a.m. pacific Feb. 23, 2023.
