Lorraine Berniece Christensen was born Sep. 14,1941, to Ernest and Evelyn (Mattern) Christensen in Westhope, ND and peacefully passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Williston, ND.

She grew up on a farm south of Mohall, ND, and attended Clay Center School. In 1952, her family moved to Maxbass, ND where she graduated from high school. In addition, she graduated from Texas Lutheran University at Sequin, Texas with an elementary degree. Her first year of teaching brought her to the Devils Lake, ND, school system where she taught until her retirement.

She loved the little house she bought in Devils Lake. Lorraine and her dad remodeled it by adding a bedroom, dining room, kitchen and garage. Later she added a patio where she spent many hours entertaining friends and family.

An active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church kept her busy with baking for their Christmas Bake Sale as well as a Reader and attending Bible Study.

She loved to bake and made several items for Christmas boxes filled with cookies, bars and candy for the elementary schools where she taught.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Christensen, nephew Kurt Christensen and brother-in-law Del Easton.

She is survived by her brother Reverend Ernest and Kathy Christensen of Mentor, MN, sister Lorna Easton of Williston, ND and sister-in-law Paula Christensen of Muskogee, OK; nieces and nephews Rachael and Mike Roggenbach, Mentor, MN, Leathan and Tabitha Christensen of Fayetteville, AR, Cara and Ben Pemberton and Shawn and Jamie Christensen of Gibson, OK; step niece and nephews Terry and Kelly Easton, Patti Easton of Bismarck, ND, Jeffrey and Julia Easton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and several great nieces and nephews. As well as her aunt Vivian Thompson of Bottineau, ND and several cousins.
