Gladys Bernice Cavanaugh, 28, of the Spirit Lake Nation, began her journey to the Spirit World on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at Montecito Acute Care in Phoenix, AZ, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Funeral Services for Gladys will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at the Crow Hill Rec Center in Fort Totten, ND. The procession will be leaving Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from Hwy 281/ Hwy 57 Junction to the Crow Hill Rec Center. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Crow Hill Rec Center. Burial will be held at the Crow Hill Presbyterian Cemetery.

Gladys Bernice Cavanaugh was born April 12, 1994, to Jesse Cavanaugh and Corrine Thumb in Devils Lake, ND. Gladdy Bee spent her early years growing up on Spirit Lake. She moved with her mother to Minnesota for a few years, and then in her early teens, her mother moved them to Phoenix, AZ.

Gladys was a loving mother, daughter, sister, cousin and friend. She had so much love for everyone she knew. Gladys had one of the most infectious laughs of anyone we knew.

Gladdy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Gladdy is survived by her son, Keith Cavanaugh of Phoenix, AZ; parents, Jesse (Angela) Cavanaugh and Corrine Thumb; siblings, Grant Cavanaugh, Thayne Bell, JR., Tony Cavanaugh and Josiah Brown.
