So, now that we are not seeing illegal immigrants returned to their home country but hellhole third-world prisons, you must realize just how far we have fallen as a moral and principled leading nation in the world. Now that we have the politically motivated, because it is not really about crime, militarization of cities governed by Democrats, are you proud of your country?

Now that we have a president and other elected officials who totally disregard laws and the U.S. Constitution regularly, does that make you believe government by, for, and of the people is safe and secure? The three richest people in the U.S. have as much wealth as the bottom 50% of the U.S. population. Does that wealth information make you think this country is not becoming a place that promotes some reasonable equalization of wealth among all people? Now that grocery prices are not going down as the president promised to do, you realize that the president was bold-faced lying to you during the 2024 campaign. With the media attention paid to tariffs, unless you read, listen, or view no news media, everyone should realize that tariffs are not paid by retailers or foreign countries but by Americans as a sales tax. Do you understand that the cultural issues often raised by the Republican Party (gay marriage, transgender, Christianity in schools, flag burning, etc.) have very little to do with the economic and societal well-being of individuals and households?

No law-abiding, modern country should randomly round up illegal immigrants in masse based on their skin color and speech. The rule of law that has evolved in a country that protects the rights of citizens and non-citizens should not just be ignored for some racist and bigoted political philosophy. Sending deportees to hellhole prisons in third-world countries should never be part of any deportation policy that isn’t based on being as cruel as possible.

Any great, open, and honest country should never illegally use its military as law enforcement in major urban centers based on political motivation, not the genuine need for crime prevention. Yes, what is being done is unconstitutional and clearly in violation of existing laws. The U.S. becoming a police state under martial law will not benefit most people.

The U.S. Constitution is an evolving document that establishes the base guidance for the country. Purposely and ruthlessly, ignoring the Constitution does very little to positively evolve the country. Any politician who disregards the Constitution and the associated laws is unpatriotic and a true detriment to government by, for, and of the people.

The U.S. has among the highest income inequality in the world, and the current president wants to make the income inequality grow to the point where a few thousand billionaires and multimillionaires have most of the wealth in the country. Having three people with the same wealth as the bottom 50% of the population is not enough. There are five developed countries in the world with greater income inequality than the U.S.

The current president claimed he would bring down grocery prices on day one. He has been a total failure in making this happen and has even implemented policies that will make inflation, across the board, worse. The belief that any president can fully control free enterprise is ridiculous. They can have some impact, but much less than was propagandized; it was just another con by the current president to promise much and deliver much less.

The random, foolish, and unpredictable way the current president has applied tariffs will have a pronounced negative impact on the U.S. economy. The U.S. consumer will ultimately pay for this sales tax, with lower-income households feeling the greatest impact. The current president does not seem to realize who pays the price for tariffs, or he doesn’t care.

Stop being drawn in by cultural issues designed to play on emotions when rational thinking is needed about which politician can be best trusted to promote your economic and societal well-being. Make a concerted effort to stop going through life so uninformed and malleable that slick, untrustworthy politicians can deceive and manipulate you into voting against your best self-interests. This level of stupidity has been going on way too long and has allowed us to get into our current dilemma that seriously threatens the future of our democratic republic.

More people must become better informed, less dependent on opinion journalism, and call into question known lies, thereby becoming better citizens who understand their role and responsibility in helping our society evolve properly. We cannot elect unprincipled, egocentric, lying con men as president and think everything will work out. We owe future generations more than creating shambles for them to live in, where 2-3% of the population has everything, and everyone else tries to just survive. That is not forming a more perfect union as envisioned by our forefathers.
