Devils Lake Police Department Reports the following:
10/24/25: An adult male exhibited erratic behavior in the afternoon at the deli in Leevers Supermarket, demanding chicken. Despite efforts to placate the individual, he became increasingly belligerent and verbally abusive. Police responded to the scene and were forced to use a taser to subdue the suspect, who is now facing possible charges of preventing arrest and disorderly conduct.
10/26/25: Police responded to a brawl that broke out at the Razor’s Edge bar at 1:26 a.m. and was resolved at 1:45 a.m. There was a large crowd of people upon arrival, but the group dispersed and no victims came forward. Officers on the scene kept a presence in the area due to the large amount of intoxicated people on the scene.
10/26/25: Officers received a 911 call that a male was threatening to stab a female and wouldn’t release her. Upon arrival, officers tried knocking on the door at the address provided but no answer. Text messages from the female stated that she couldn’t answer the front door as she was barricaded inside the house and the male was trying to stab the female with a broken light bulb. After hearing screams from the female, the officers forced their way inside and saw the male on top of the female. Officers subdued and handcuffed the male and escorted him out of the building. The female described being held against her will and not being allowed to open the front door when police arrived. She said to officers that she was very fearful during the situation and there is a history of abuse. The suspect is facing pending charges of domestic violence and unlawful restraint.
