These youngsters are enjoying leaping from bale to bale at the Stump Lake Threshing Bee a few years ago. The Threshing Bee is held every Labor Day Weekend at Stump Lake Village 10 miles south of Lakota, ND. You can experience farming done the way it used to be done with steam threshing machines, farm hands pitching bundles and shocking grain and much, much more.
In March we celebrate agriculture in the Devils Lake Journal because National Ag Day is March 21, 2023, and Ag Week is the week leading up to and including that day.
